A radical inner transformation and rise to a new level of consciousness might be the only real hope we have in the current global crisis brought on by the dominance of the Western mechanistic paradigm.

Psūkhē is a transpersonal psychotherapy / humanistic, integrative psychotherapy clinic situated in Central London's West End (WC1). We are a unique psychotherapeutic clinic in London's — and even in the international — landscape and have one of the best transpersonal therapists and practitioners in the United Kingdom. We offer services as diverse as transpersonal therapy, astrotherapy, NLP and hypnotherapy, vocational counselling, philosophical counselling, life coaching, astrology, past life regression therapy and many others. What's more, our psychologists and therapists offer consultations and counselling sessions online or over the telephone as well, for most of the therapies and services, so that you have no excuse for postponing your personal growth and development.

Psukhe was created out of passion and bred by frustration. Passion for the vast, uncharted potential innate in every human being; and for the process of change by which 'ordinary people' become extraordinary, through finding and living those magnificent dormant possibilities of their Beingness, process which we call individuation (coming into Being, becoming an individual). And frustration with the impotence of the narrow-minded, short-sighted conventional therapies, quick fixes and remedies prevalent in contemporary psychology.

We believe that every person is different. And indeed the very essence underpinning our psychotherapy is the assumption that every psychological or behavioral disorder originates in a fundamental identity conflict — either the lack of self-knowledge or, more frequently and more importantly, the inability to accept our own identity and be authentic, mostly due to not being able to withstand social pressures, hence submitting to the values of others. Accordingly, we do not feel that the same approach to therapy would work for everyone. That is precisely why we take your specific needs and issues into consideration to suggest a blend of psychotherapeutic approaches, which in Psukhe's case are very eclectic and diverse.

We think that Psukhe is timely. The 21st century is all about a change in consciousness. Thomas Kuhn called this a 'paradigm shift' in his seminal work The Structure of Scientific Revolutions. We are now in the middle of a paradigm shift concerning our whole Western weltanschauung or world-view. Science's conquest, after a two centuries tour de force, has come to a standstill. It reached its limit, and that limit is called consciousness. That proved to be a hard nut to crack, in fact impossible with our present tools. And it is consciousness that will turn out to be the trigger to provoke the next scientific revolution.

In every scientific discipline we're witnessing this need for a paradigm shift. With the birth of transpersonal psychology and psychotherapy (the type we practice at Psukhe) in the 60s through the work of famous psychologers like Carl Jung (analytical psychology), Abraham Maslow (humanistic psychology) and Roberto Assagioli (psychosyntesis) especially, then in the 80s and 90s the work of transpersonal researchers like Stanislav Grof, Ken Wilber, Charles Tart and others, psychology was among the first and foremost disciplines to direct an educated, systematic scientific enquiry, whose findings challenge the mainstream scientific paradigm with insurmountable objections and staunch arguments.

What is even more provoking is that in Physics, through the work of quantum physicists like Werner Heisenberg, Max Planck, Niels Bohr, Albert Einstein, John von Neumann and others, parallel discoveries seem to point to the same need for a new world-view.

The unique and nonconventional approach to psychotherapy and counselling we have at Psukhe, as well as the particular flavour of transpersonal, integrative, existential therapy we use at our London clinic, have proved to work incredibly well for a wide range of afflictions. We use our psychotherapeutic approach for depression counselling, addictions (substance abuse and misuse) and eating disorders counselling and therapy, stress and anxiety counselling, children or adolescent counselling, trauma, abuse, grief or bereavement counselling and relationship counselling or couple therapy. Our psychologists, psychotherapists and counsellors are trained and prepared to deal with whatever problems you may have in the most empathetic, person-centred, humanistic and spiritually informed manner.
